Nicole pursued her love of woodworking and design as a student of the Austin Community College Fine Woodworking Certification Program in Austin, TX. Although, her very first adventure in woodworking was a bookshelf built in high school and submitted as a final art project, all with the help of a family friend and master woodworker, Richard Carr. More recently, Nicole went on to study and work under master finisher and frame designer, Kenneth Jordan, at Artisan Frameworks located in Industry City, Brooklyn, NYC. She has also taken Japanese woodworking classes at Mokuchi Studio and a design course at Makeville Studio in Brooklyn, NYC.
